Senior Risk Manager

Join us in this role where you’ll support daily monitoring of compliance and performance, collaborate closely with stakeholders on risk-related matters, and build a strong understanding of both proprietary and risk mitigation strategies used by traders. You’ll also help improve digital tools, reports, and processes within the team, while building open and trusting relationships across the organization.
Welcome to Market Risk
You’ll be part of a dedicated Trading Risk team in Market Risk, where you, together with your colleagues, will manage first-line risk for energy trading activities and performance tracking. This includes reporting on trading risk and performance, monitoring compliance with risk mandates, and identifying and reporting potential breaches. You’ll work closely with other departments to ensure a shared understanding of our business, energy markets, derivatives, trading, and overall risk profile.

You’ll play an important role in:
- supporting daily reporting of trading and portfolio performance (P&L) and risk metrics such as VaR and stress testing
- conducting ad-hoc analysis and providing insights to traders and stakeholders on trading activities, performance, market risks, and derivatives
- enhancing digital tools, reports, and processes to improve team efficiency
- ensuring accuracy and consistency in risk and performance reporting
- building strong, informal relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
To succeed in the role, you:
- hold a master’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field
- are analytically skilled and able to explain complex topics clearly
- approach tasks with structure and initiative
- have a solid understanding of option theory and its practical use
- are confident working with large datasets and familiar with tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint
- enjoy working in a dynamic environment, value teamwork and continuous learning, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
