O&M Project Manager for Development Projects and Project Delivery

Join us in this role where you’ll act as the O&M focal point within development projects, and through collaboration with other stakeholders, you ensure all O&M inputs into bids are successfully delivered

You’ll be part of Generation Development & Project Delivery where you, together with your colleagues, will collaborate to deliver value from project identification, through bid and up to Final Investment Decision (FID). The team is responsible for maturing projects, ensuring strong operational business cases, and conceptualizing an effective operating strategy which balances bid and project aspirations with long-term generation portfolio needs.

You’ll play an important role in:
- developing the O&M concepts for future offshore wind farms and being responsible for the management of OPEX cases in the early development phase, including the Final Investment Decision (FID)
- ensuring that the lifetime OPEX model assumptions and yield profiles are robust, and that all decisions are made with the input of necessary stakeholders
- project managing the scope and ensuring timely delivery of Generation’s deliverables for bid and FID through exceptional project management and strategic project delivery
- ideating and executing initiatives to support non-price scoring in bids, such as workforce development, supplier development, fishery collaboration, etc., and capturing these eloquently in bid documentation
- preparing decision material for senior management, presenting risks, opportunities, and budgets supported by strong business justifications
- occasionally, supporting strategic projects, including post-SWA initiatives and other large, cross-functional O&M projects.
To succeed in the role, you:
- possess a degree-level education, preferably with a deep understanding of the wind sector
- are self-driven, organized, and structured, with the ability to work effectively even without established frameworks
- have work experience from a role in management consulting or a project management / commercial role in a technical industry such as energy, infrastructure or heavy industry, coupled with experience of working in cross-cultural and virtual teams
- exhibit strong project management training and experience, along with commercial acumen and strategic thinking, preferably with solid experience in business case development
- have excellent stakeholder management skills, are persuasive, and thrive in a complex, global environment
- are curious and enjoy learning about new subjects, markets and cultures.
