Firewall Engineer with Network knowledge

Join us in this role where you’ll work closely with the IT Product Owner and a passionate team of firewall experts to understand, execute and document the technical requirements that drive the analysis, design and operations of our technical solutions. The team collaborates to maintain and support the existing network security infrastructure, primarily managing and operating Palo Alto Firewalls, as well as Cisco devices, and managing platforms such as Panorama.

You’ll be part of our Production IPL, Team Security Foundations where you, together with your colleagues, will maintain and support our existing production security infrastructure on our Bio Plants in Denmark, but will also work with other production sites worldwide. As a team with varied backgrounds, work experience, genders, and geographical locations, we are committed to our company vision of creating a world that runs entirely on green energy. You’ll play an important role in:
- keeping the IT infrastructure running as a stable platform for our Bio energy production sites
- operating and deploying Palo Alto firewalls, as well as configuring routers, switches, and managing platforms like Panorama or others
- collaborating with your team members, network architects, enterprise architects, local and global stakeholders to achieve our business goals
- maintaining existing and establishing new critical assets (production sites) like windfarms, solar-farms and Generation Control Center connectivity.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have hands-on working experience with firewalls (optimally Palo Alto + Panorama, and basic certifications like CCNA or equivalent)
- have relevant experience in Operations Technology (production) area
- have general knowledge with routers and switches
- are generally interested in working with Scada/OT network (production network).
- are a bright self-starter with a curious and perseverant “Can do” approach
- have an open and helpful personality where communication is key to establish a strong supporting team collaboration.
