Welcome to Global Contract Settlements
You’ll be part of the Bioenergy team where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for delivering timely settlement, accounting, and tax and financial reporting for the Danish heat and power plants. The Bioenergy team consist of six colleagues placed in Poland and Denmark with experience in the business varying from a couple of years to more than 25. The larger Global Contract Settlements department is situated in Poland, Denmark, Ireland, and England and are taking care of both onshore wind farms and solar farms, offshore windfarms, as well as the power plants. As a team, we create a workplace culture centred around teamwork and development through close collaboration with our colleagues and key stakeholders.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • collecting accurate data related to volumes and prices for the settlement of district heating from combined heat and power plants
  • managing invoicing for monthly settlements and ad hoc contracts recording settlements in SAP mainly using our upload tools, but also by manual booking
  • ensuring compliance by reporting and reconciling monthly taxes and fees to national authorities
  • verifying sustainability in the handling of incoming biofuel invoices
  • providing exemplary audit documentation as part of our annual audit process
  • championing process improvement, especially in relation to month-end closing, and engaging in various ad hoc projects.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, controlling, or similar
  • are fluent in both spoken and written English
  • are a highly competent user of the Microsoft Office suite, incl. Excel and Outlook and have experience with financial accounting software, preferably SAP
  • thrive in a changing environment and take responsibility
  • are self-driven and can work independently while also enjoying collaborating with colleagues across teams and national borders.
